    G1S-A1 Mobo Battery Dead, How to Replace?

    It appears my laptop can't retain information after shutdown, so I need to replace the motherboard battery. Any idea how to access? Can't find that anywhere in any guide.

    Have a look at the info booth, there is a disassembly guide for the G1S. If you examine carefully all the photos, you should be able to determine where the CMOS battery is. Then you can use the guide to get to the battery and exchange it.

    if i were you i would either order on eon ebay they ship from china and are cheap or send your current one to batteryrefill.com or the like

    Aren't laptop CMOS batteries the same as desktop ones? If yes, then they should not be so difficult to find at electronic stores.
