I didn't know whether to put this here or in the gaming forum. Oh well, here it is.

I was just wondering if anyone else who has a G1S-A1 has Crysis, and what configs they are playing on that they found worked best. I just bought the game today and I'm tweaking around the graphics to find the best config. Right now I have 25-30 fps at 1024x768 with everything on medium except:

    Shaders & Shadows: low
    Water & Texture: high

I think this looks better and gets higher fps than everything on medium and a higher resolution. I was just wondering what others were playing at to compare with. Thanks!

I remember playing the game at 1280x800 with everything set to high except shaders & shadows (which were set to low). I had average 28-32 fps which were dipping down to 15-17fps when hitting graphic intensive areas.

That's so weird. I have the G1S-A1 but I can barely get 20fps when everything is on medium and 1024x768. The GPU benchmark is much higher but when I actually play it goes way down. The latest drivers helped but it's still not as good as what others are reporting.

It didn't play that well on mine. I think I had it on 1024x768 with all on med, no AA, and it was kinda crappy, maybe 20 fps... I gave up on it, been playing COD4 and HL2-episode 2 which play amazing on my machine.

    i have the 169.09 drivers

i copied the voodoo and im playing at 1280x800 on all high except shader and shadows on low. it seems to handle it fine, running at high 20's low 30's.

death-- i would get it if i were you, well worth it. sprung the extra 10 and bought the SE. the soundtrack alone makes it worth it.

I like 1280x800 at Med, the graphics still look great and the FPS is very playable.
