Just wondering if anyone in here knows for sure if the GPU in this notebook is 256MB GDDR3 or GDDR2? The specs say GDDR3 but I have read that the specs may not always be right. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

All G1S notebooks have the GDDR3 VRAM version of the 8600M GT.

Ha, m8. this is my biggest question too. I'm deciding if this is the right laptop for games/dvd/college. I have the same budget too. I read this whole post, and it looks good, I'm still not sure. I like dell's sleek deisgn and 4 Usb ports. We'll see.
