Has anyone experienced this? I saw one reference to this issue in the G1S owner's thread but no response that I could find.

It used to work perfectly before my G1Sn-A1 suffered the fate of many others (won't turn on due to graphics glitch). After the motherboard was replaced the bluetooth wouldn't work. I tried uninstalling and installing all the core Asus drivers available to me but it still doesn't work.

Running Vista 32 Home Premium. I did not reinstall Vista after the laptop was returned since I heard the BIOS rejects the install since the motherboard differs from the original.

It sounds like they did not reconnect all the components like they should have.

I try not to be too critical since mistakes do happen. Sometimes when you rebuild a computer you check back most of the things, and focus on the reason why it came in. I bet they checked if the notebook powered on, displayed, and booted into the OS. The Bluetooth went unnoticed.

When you look in Hardware & Sound -> Device Manager do you see any unknown or problem devices?

Kinda sucks but you may have to send it back.

What is odd is that pressing FN+F2 allows me to turn Wireless on/off, however I do not have any control bluetooth. Is it possible the drivers are ok but, as you said, it physically isn't connected?

Does anyone have a diagram on what I should be looking for? I'm 99% sure my warranty is expired and my mobo was replaced almost a year ago.

I do not have a wiring diagram but do you see any unknown or problematic devices in device manager?

Wow thanks for the diagram Ken, that is great information. After reading the dissasembly routine, I feel going through all that only to find out the BT module is not there would be a pain in the butt. I wouldn't know where to buy a new module anyway, and the chance of damaging a component is too risky for me at this time. I'll stick to emailing pictures from my Google G1 phone to my gmail :p.

    Appreciate your time nonetheless.
