    Hey,

Just recently got my G1 replaced with a G1Sn, which is all good, but I noticed that it's HDD is actually not that fast and was getting only ~2,9 from windows 7 experience score from hdd. Its a 5400rpm 250gb hitachi. Other windows experience 5400rpm scores for G1Sn i've seen are usually 5+.

So, when I go to device managed and to the hdd properties, the box for caching is unticked. When I try to turn it on, it says the drive won't let caching to be turned on. I've never encountered an internal hdd that wont let the caching to be turned on (and even have external usb drive with caching on)

Could this have something to do with the installation of asus g1sn chipset drivers and turbo memory drivers ? After those, I had a popup saying "a new device found & installed (the HDD)".

e: more specificly, the hdd is hitachi travelstar 5k250 hts542525k9sa00

Hmm, I got the cache on by unsinstalling "intel matrix storage manager", which apparently comes with turbomemory install.. well, my experience score still didn't improve at all  Its still 2,9-3,0 and I can't figure out why.

Did some researching and turns out this might actually just be a bug of windows 7 ? Lots of people scoring low on the hdd.

Just replaced the hdd with a 320gb scorpio black. Got a 5,9 rating from windows 7. Odd. Need to do something bout the temps tho, 54 for the hdd is a bit high
