So recently I have been playing Bioshock on my G1S reborn G1Sn after the original 8600M GT fried, so it is now T7500 + 9500M GS. After playing Bioshock for about 10 minutes the CPU temp as reported by Everest reaches 104 Celsius, something even this laptop has never seen before. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

Have you cleaned your fan and heat radiator recently? Also try different VGA drivers as that can also affect your graphics card temps.

well, the motherboard was replaced not too long ago by Asus, and it's still quite clean, so I doubt that's the issue. In any case, it's the CPU that's getting so hot, though ..

Are you sure it is really 104C? Sometimes there may be software errors (or temperature sensor errors) which cause unusally high temp values.

When you touch the case of the laptop do you ever notice unusually hot areas especially around the CPU? If the CPU hits over 100C, the plastics around it would be close to the melting point...

Try use HWMonitor and Riva Tuner to confirm your GPU temps.
