I'm really not sure if this is the right place to put this and if this is the case I do sincerely apologize.
Well, while I wait for me new g73jh, I'm stuck with my, now quite old G1sn and as of late the fan has been making some really abnormal noise. I can honestly say people in the room next to me can hear it quite clearly....yes, that loud....
I opened her up and noticed that the fan was pretty clogged up with dust and what not so I gently vacuumed it trying to get rid of as must dust as possible. But I'm afraid the problem while very slightly mitigated still persists.
Any help would be much appreciated.....

You can try gently using a cotton swab and clean around the fan blades. One other thing you might want to consider is contacting ASUS and purchase a replacement Fan. They are relatively inexpensive. Here is a link to their estore where they sell it for $10. (Unfortunately it is listed out of stock but you might want to call the RMA department and see if they have a spare to sell)

Thank you Justin. I'm outside of the United States, but, following your address called up the ASUS company here and they have it in stock. =)
