    G1s 256mb 8600mGT.. Crysis material?

    i have a G1s with:
    T7500
    8600mGT 256
    4gb

    in Crysis i only get reasonable performance with low settings and 800x600 res
    it is about 20fps

    what are you experiencing? what should i expect? what can i do about it?

    oh BTW im using the pre-release demo, i wanted to check the performance before i went and bought it

    1024x640, med settings, 30+ FPS.

    That really isn't what I would expect. Is this 8600 GDDR3?

    You should be able to get mids on decent resolution.

    800*600 on low is not normal for a 8600m gt, even if it has the slower ddr2 memory.
    check you're on high performance settings, then update your drivers.
