Would i see any increase in performance if I used readyboost on a 4gb memorystick with my G1s that allready has 4gb of ram? THe laptop runs kickass by itself, im just looking for ways to decrease boot times.

No, you wouldn't. At least not for any practical purposes, perhaps in the statistics.

I have 3gb and I tried readyboost with a 4gb memory stick. No noticeable difference.

Yeah...it doesn't seem to do anything at all...I installed a 4gig sd card and Vista recognized it...but I'm still only using 70% of my 3gigs of ram (4gigs installed, 3 reported)

I suspect that if I have enough programs open that I exceed 100% then having the 4gigs of readyboost will definite help....instead of overflowing to the hard drive.

On my old laptop with only 1gig of ram...it would often show ram usage over 1gig and it was the hard drive it was using!!!

Readyboost was designed for Vista computers with 1 GB of RAM or less. Other than that, you will not see any performance increase at all!...

    Cheers!
