    Hey folks,

I'm not sure whether to put this in the Windows forum, but I'll try it here.

I've got an Asus G1s (specs in sig), bought it in June, and lately it's been acting very strangely on me. It seems whenever I try to install or unzip anything (I'm thinking specifically demos here - I've tried Bioshock, Crysis, Crysis beta, CoH OF beta, almost any .exe or .zip file), and it bluescreens on me. I was able to install Orange Box with no problems at all, however; the odd demo (CoD 4) also works. I also get a bluescreen when I try to run any registry cleaner software. I don't know what the problem is, or if it's just a stupid windows thing that's been corrupted. It seems to be a problem with Windows Installer, but I can't quite pinpoint it.

My thought is to just do a re-format, and re-install Vista using the recovery disk. Your thoughts?
