    Ok,

For some reason my keyboard's arrows arent working properly..

My up and right arrow to be exact. It doesnt work when i press them only, but suddently works a little when i press it along with a different arrow key.. (Any clue of how to fix this??)

Since this isnt my only keyboard problem, i am considering of buying a new keyboard for my G1S, but does anyone know some place that sells them?

    Thanks.

    www.newegg.com

I've bought over $5k worth of merchandise from them. Amazingly fast shipping, and good prices.

Lol... i think the OP wants to replace his keyboard, not buy an external keyboard! But yea, I agree newegg is awesome :)

@OP, if your laptop is still under warranty, then you can have the keyboard replaced for free. Just contact asus and tell them your situation. Alternatively, you can purchase the keyboard from the Asus estore here and try to replace it yourself.

Maybe sending it to ASUS is a better idea. Is the keyboard controller integrated on the keyboard or is it on the mainboard? (I have no idea)

I'm asking since the controller may be at fault, instead of the keyboard. If it is, and it is on the motheboard, replacing keyboard may not solve the problem...

Edit: a "wild" question: do the arrows work properly when you navigate the BIOS? (F2 at startup) It would be a pity to send the notebook and have trouble over warranty, for just a software problem. (if it works in BIOS it's most likely a software problem)

Ok, no it does not work at BIOS.... It did work before actually until just a couple days ago when it suddenly stopped...

So i am guessing its just my keyboard.... i hope

Yeah, if it worked and now it stopped working it's probably some kind of electronic failure in the keyboard itself. Just order it off estore. In the worst case you're down 20 dollars.

What exactly did you change inside? Unless you took the heatsink off the GPU/CPU, thus breaking the warranty seal, your warranty is NOT void. Things like RAM, HDD, WiFi upgrades don't void warranty.

Yep, your warranty is fine then. If you do send it in, make sure to replace the original components though, to avoid any problems. (assuming you still have them)

Though, I hear in the US even that doesn't matter, as long as the upgraded components aren't the cause of the problem.

    Alright..

Do i have to put it in the original box in order to send it? My friend also has a G1S, and said that ASUS required the original box along with so ithought it was a little weird..

I guess it depends. I sent mine in a nondescript box and nobody argued.

It would have been strange for them to argue given it was their box, with which they replaced the original on the first repair.
