I just bought a new 8gb SDHC card. When I stuck it into the G1S's card reader it doesn't detect it. Other non SDHC cards works fine, however. Have anyone tried to use a sdhc card with their g1s before?
This is on XP. I have the latest drivers installed.

Yes, it should be. If your adapter is a Ricoh card reader, all you need is this:

Download the Drivers only and not the installation, and just manually update the drivers via Device Manager. -
Thanks! Got it to work

Nice to know it works on the G1S as well!

I have a feeling it works on all Vista machines with Ricoh controllers.
Maybe I should add it to the sticky, when I have the time.

My 4GB SDHC is working in my G1S also.

Do the rest of you find the built in card reader to be really slow? I have a 4GB Sandisk Extreme 3 SDHC card that tops out at about 4 meg/s using the internal reader. If I use the bundled mini reader and plug it into a USB port then it's 3x faster.

not sure about SDHC but mem stick pro duo w/ adapter is much faster than xferring with sony's cables...
i've never tested the SDHC's for speed, but it didn't seem noticeably slow.
G1s SDHC compatible?
