Hi there - just done a clean install of Vista to a single partition to see if this helps fix my stuttering performance issues. Previous thread here:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=144768

For the most part Vista has taken care of drivers, although I have used the latest Realtek Audio (1.73) and Nvidia (laptopvideo2go 163.44) drivers.

    Some questions however:

1 Webcam will not use mirror mode so that the image I see in Skype / Messenger is reversed. Any solution? Have installed Asus webcam drivers with no effect.
2 ATK Hotkeys and ATK generic - what are these? Are they needed?
3 Wireless Console - is this needed, to use Bluetooth? Or can I Use an Intel equivalent and install BT anyway.

Thanks, have tried to use forum search to find answers to these questions, but no time to page through long threads to find the one post that may help.....

Now going to reinstall some games (WoW, Bioshock, etc) to see if performance has been improved by the "clean" install....

1.) You have to select mirror mode in the application you want to use the webcam in. In messenger go to tools, webcam settings, and select "mirror my image...". Alternatively it could be somewhere in the options menu (tools, options)
2.) As far as I know, ATK Hotkeys are for the special function keys using the "fn" key. Not sure though.
3.) You can enable wireless and bluetooth using the buttons. The wireless console just lets you enable them without pushing the buttons or when any of those 2 get turned on, wireless console lets you know.
