    G1s hard drive temperatures.

    I was just wondering what temperatures other users are getting with their g1s hard drives. To start, mine is at 49c right now as I type this post up. Also for reference, my hard drive is the 160gb 5400rpm Hitachi one. :)

    mine is at 45 with windows media player, aim, and firefox (very light usage)

    under moderate stress it gets up to 48 and when gaming, over 50.

    i have the stock 160 gb hd. i'm not sure if it's the hitachi.

    Your temperature is fine, everyone's temps are going to be a little difference because of ambient tempurature, and what surface the laptop is on. Even during gaming and intensive applications, the temps of the HD will only a rise a little.

    The big difference in temps are seen with the CPU and GPU when doing different tasks.

    I use an Antec Notebook Cooler and mine stays around 40C at all times. Maybe hits 45 during gaming, but not much more.

    51 give or take two degrees all of the time whether or not im gaming
