I ordered my G1S-A1 today from excaliberpc.com It was $1709.00 shipped with intel 1gb turbo memory upgrade. It should be here by Tuesday. !! very exciting.

I told them that I would install the turbo memory by myself. He said its tricky. How hard is it really? I didn't think it could be much more complicated than plugging in a card and installing drivers..

Um, May I ask how much RAM it has & the other specs?
If you have 2GB RAM then you wasted the money on that Turbo Memory.

turbo memory... sometimes slows down the computer... but it gives you some more battery power(i think) because it allows more access to be stored... and allows the hard disk to slow down a little bit

Turbo memory should not degrade performance anyways he got it for free so the heck with it.

Congrats on your purchase, the G1s is a very nice notebook.

Grats, I just got my G1S-A1 today too, I only got a chance to get it out of the box and stare it before I had to go to work.

Can't wait to get home and get my hands on it!! That's a good deal btw, I got mine for 1749, before it went back to 1899 a few bdays later.
