Hey guys, Ive been using my G1s for about 2 weeks now and I dont like having the 2 seperate partitions, especially when I need to transfer between them and it doesnt happen instantly as if they were 1 partition.

My question is, I tried using partition magic and it says that hard drive partition type is "BAD" so I figured I would reformat the harddrive all together. Now, how do I actually go about doing that on the G1s? Is it safe to do a reformat considering how we have that recovery partition as well? Any advice would be great.

Just pop the 1st recovery disc in the OD and reboot the notebook. Then it will ask you if you want to do a restore and after you say yes, it'll give you a few options:

    1) Restore C: and D:
    2) Restore C: only
    3) Merge C: and D: to C: and restore C:

Pick 3). I think it was those options, it's been a while, don't recall :p
