Hey, I got an Asus G1Sn-X1 and on the side of the monitor are these thin-rectangular lights that flash green whenever I'm playing a game or something. It's not annoying or anything, but I'm wondering what it's for? I'm guessing that it flashes while running a program or something, but just wanna know for sure what it is.

    From Asus's website:
" With Direct Flash sidelights, gaming spirit is shared when DirectX 10 support is activated for graphic intense moments. Get a boost and bring the game on anywhere!"
Basically, they flash whenever Direct X is used.

I think you should read the user's manual of your notebook. You can find in there all the information you are looking for.

If you have Vista it's already installed.

Shouldn't there be something to download it and install it anyway? On XP, you were able to find DirectX 9 in the Windows folder or something. This is dumb cause I don't know if I have it or not.
