    What is the difference between and G2, G2P, and G2S? I can buy an Asus G2 for 2200$ from Target.com, but I can get a 3 year warranty for an extra 80$. I get 10% because I am an employee, 10% for opening up a credit card, and 10% from a coupon code "TGTSTM58". This comes to 1553$. It has a 17 inch screen, maybe this is the difference, which is larger than I wanted, but this looks like a great deal.

    Link for the computer

    I want this computer for gaming, WoW, C&C3, ect. This would be fine I hope?

    G2(x) = notebook series, the (x) represents which platform/update it is.

    G2p = Core 2 Duo 667mhz FSB, 7700 Go, DVI
    G2s = Core 2 Duo 800mhz FSB, 8600GT, HDMI, eSata

    G2 and G2p are one and the same.
    If youre looking at old posts people just short-formed the 'G2p' by just posting "G2"
    The G2S is the successor to the G2P and the G2S has the newer santa rosa chip.

    That pricing for the G2 at target is pretty steep. Call them to confirm which G2 it is (G2P or G2S)
    If it is the G2P you may still be able to get it with XP Pro MCE if you perfer Xp over Vista. But dont pay that price

    G2 refers to the notebook platform as a whole, with p and s denoting the CPU/GPU version (Merom/X1700 in the G2p and Santa Rosa/8600M GT in the G2s).

    Yeh, the thing is they don't have the G2S at target, otherwise I would buy it, to get the G2S I would have to pay ~$450 more.
