Alright here is my predicament. I am planning on buying a laptop for college, like half of the posts here, and I want to be able to play World of Warcraft, C&C3, ect.

I can get the G2P for $1,785 and the G2S for $2,160. It is a $250 difference, but I am not sure if I could talk my parents into paying that much more, I'm already sure he is mad about the $1,800. Yes I am paying for a lot of it, but I just want to know if the G2S is really worth the extra $250 or if I would be fine with the G2P.

After this I just have to wait for my Financial Aid to get fixed, and I can decide whether or not to put this on my student loan :p.

Also is the Turbo Memory worth it? More questions in post 5.

The $250 is definitely worth it if you care about gaming. The 8600mGT is much better than the Go7700.

There are cheaper places to get the G2S. I've found a $1995 at Gentech PC, and I bought from them.

The G2S honestly seems like a much better buy than the G2P, because of the little things here and there. For example, Wireless N, which actually rocketed my surf and download speeds from the same G router.

And the G2P should be able to play those games decently, with its x1700. However, getting the G2S with the 8600M GT should play those games much smoother. (equivalent performance to a 7900GS + DX10 support)

Overall it's your choice. I myself got a G2S because of the graphics card and the wireless N, but my priorities are different than yours.

The extra bells and whistles the G2S has are on the edge, and to me, there is no clear-cut answer of which is better. It all comes down to personal preference.

Alright thanks, I am trying to find some other retailers because I only saw it listed at one place.

IS the Turbo Memory worth it? Also, in that link it says "self install" or have them install it. It says that there is a faster turn around time if I install it myself. How much of a difference in time would it be if they installed it? And is it difficult to install Vista? I have never installed an OS before.
