I need a Laptop cooler for my monster... But I want a stable 16 inch (406.4mm) wide cooler that works. I have found a few online, but I am concerned about fan placement and longevity. I have a laptop table that has limited space, and is not as stable as a desk (it has casters). I want a cooler that is as wide as the G2s and has rubber feet for a good hold to the desk. I have limited depth as well.

Please help me find the best cooler for my needs. I noticed most are not as wide as a 17 laptop.

Here are the dimensions for for the cooler:
    13 inches (330.2mm) deep max
    16 inches (406.4mm) wide atleast

    Laptop dimensions:
    16 inches (406.4mm) wide
    12 inches (304.8mm) deep

Have you chosen one as yet? if so which one.. and how's it working for you?

I'm really interested in any recommendations for a cooler for this beast as well.

    Cheers,

I purchased a Cooler Master notepal W1 in black . It works very well with 2 quite fans. Its dimensions are 400x300x42m all out of heavy wall aluminum.
I lift it up on the front ledge and it is the perfect spot to catch the G2s 's front feet and keep it from slipping forward.

Looks like it is a good choice. Here is a link to the manufacturers site: Cooler Master

x3, Where did you buy it? Did it make a difference? And Would you say it is very stable when on the cooler, as in if it were bumped, would it move or topple over? As you can see from the first post, I have a little desk for my laptop.

I think I got it from Newegg, and yes it seems very stable. It could be bumped side to side but if you put a small velcro or rubber strip on cooler that should solve it. It would be no less prone being moved than your existing setup.
I will try and post a pic of mine in use
