Hey all, I've recently gotten my G2S-A1 and love it and have noticed it gets warm during some DirectX10 gaming (as I would expect) and I'm in the process of looking for a good external fan so...

    1. Any suggestions on a good fan to use for this notebook?

    2. Does anyone have any advice on what program(s) to download/buy that are good for monitoring the temperature of your notebook and its components?

Any advice is good advice, thanks in advance guys.

Best program for GPU temperature would be nTune, it's also good for overclocking the GPU.

I would recommend Rivatuner, but I've had issues using it with my G1S (identical hardware to yours except the screen) so nTune is a better choice.

As for CPU/Motherboard/Etc monitoring, I'm not sure so someone else will have to help you.

I have an Asus Gs2 too, and i use speedfan to monitor my temp.

But i have a question. In Speedfan, there are 4 temp:-

    Temp1,HDD,Core1 & Core 2. What exactly is Temp1?

HDD is harddrive, and Core1 and Core2 are the intel processor right?

Thanks so much for the suggestions, any suggestions from anyone on an external fan for this notebook tho?

Also, I downloaded speed fan but am uneducated on all the ways you can set it and what not. I'm not worried about changing fan speeds etc., I just want to know the temp. of some of my components. Right now it shows Core0 and Core1 (I'm assuming these are the processing cores). Now I want to know how to add more components such as my harddrive and motherboard so I can monitor their temperatures. Any help on how to add these components to Speedfan?

Run Speedfan as Administrator. To do this, right click Speedfan and go to properties. Go to the Compatibility tab, then click "Run this program as an administrator". :)

Thanks KiwiBoy that worked perfectly and this is the last question for now I promise...

Which one is my GPU temp? Or how do I add it to the list which now shows (HD, temp1, core0, core1)?

Thanks again for all the suggestions, you guys have been alot of help.
