For some reason my drive won't read CD-R's anymore. It just sits there and constantly tries to read it. It also won't read my Nero disk but it reads Battlefield 2 just fine. Anyone have a clue as to what might cause this?

What is the drive's model? Toshiba, NEC, Hitachi...?

Might want to try deleting the ide drivers. Windows will install them when rebooted.

In Device Manager it says HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T20L. No idea who makes it.

Just tried that and nothing. When I double click the drive icon it says put a cd in even when there is one in it. Hopefully its not dead, it reads some things.
