So lately my G2S-A1 notebook has been overheating and I do not know how to fix it. I called Asus and they said I could send it in and they would repair it. The customer service representative that I spoke with asked me for the address that I would be mailing it from.

If I mail it from a postal center or a place like fed ex do I need to give them that address? Or just the return address. thanks in advance

I would first try to clean up the fan blades and the heat radiator ("fins" through which the fan pushes the air). Use Q-tips and sanitary alcohol. See also here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=143168

I do not know the layout of the G2 but if you are lucky you will be able to remove the fan without much disassembly.

Don't disassemble any heatsinks if you are under warranty. Instead, go through the fan blades if you can't remove the fan without removing heatsinks.
