Hi I was wondering if anyone had a g2s-a1 battery compareison of:
    Turbo Memory 1 gig
Ram 3 and 4 gigs *total*
    7200 RPM hard drive
How much time is taken away from each of these.

Also I kinda dinged the side of the screen frame, but not the screen it self. Now on the opposite side theres one vertical row of blue pixels. Was the frame bent permanently damaging the screen or was the frame just pushing the screen? It goes away if you gently push and pull on opposite sides of the screen.

Would this void my warranty and would asus might be able to fix this without paying for a new screen? This G2s-A1 was b4 accidental damage warranty :(.

What happened to the search function I can't locate it :(????

Yes technically that voids the warranty. But if you are ahem discreet, who knows... I won't say more than that...

Search is temporarily disabled because it bogs down the NBR servers. Admins are working on it.

RAM and turbo mem should have an unnoticeable effect on battery life, regardless of config, because their draw is so low. 5400 HDDs, esp high density ones, have performance that's comparable to 7200 drives and may have slightly lower power use, but current 7200s have come way down in terms of power use lately to near 5400 levels -- it ends up being very similar between then in the end... pick either one.

As to 5400 versus 7200, I think due to higher capacity in which the 5400 are available and to the very similar performance level, it's really no contest... go for the 5400.

I wanted to get a 200 gig hard drive, but I'm unsure if its worth the batt life.

You mean 200 7200RPM? If so, no, it's not worth the money, see my post above. Go for a 300+GB 5400 HDD.

The batt life differences won't be major.

Larger 5400 rpm hard drives don't effect batt life? Besides the 150 and 300mb/s thing?

Thanks though I think im going get that 250 gig Seagate drive.

There is no direct clear correlation between size and power required. It depends more on the (quality of the) engineering, and on the focus that is being placed on saving power. And it's all on a HDD by HDD basis, the only way to find out is to look for charts/comparisons on the web, such as that one that I linked.

Why 250gb though? Is the 320 too expensive? (I'm asking because the latter will also be faster)
