Hi, I own an ASUS G2S-B1

After playing Orange Box games such as Portal or Team Fortress 2, I get stuttering movement and beeping when I press or hold a key. The only way I can resolve this is to quit the game and run it again from desktop.

Is this a RAM memory issue? This G2S-B1 has 2 gig RAM and came with Vista pre-installed. it seems that Vista is hogging half my RAM constantly, but I tend to think that the extra 1 gig ram should be enough for the games.

    Can anyone advise?

Stuttering - update drivers. Source engine games run flawlessly on the G2s.
Beeping - how many keys are you holding down at once?

It only stutters once the beeping occurs.

Only really 3 keys at once, and it doesn't beep until I have been playing for a while. It happens the most in Portal. Every single time I play actually.

It only happened once or twice in HL2 and TF2. It is driving me mad in Portal.

I have updated drivers and the keys still beep after sometime in the game.

Sticky Shift keys? or maybe you have the language bar in Vista on? Also, the keyboards of the G1s/G2s can't recognize more than 3 keys at once anyway lol...

I have the same problem only with the m50. How did you turn off the language bar? when I right click it the only options are: Minimize, Transparancy, Text Labels, Vertical , Additional Icons in Task Bar and Settings. The help function says to close it right click and hit close but that's not an option...

Settings maybe? And then there should be an option to turn it off.

The best I can do with settings is hide it, but the stuttering problem persist and it tends to come back.
