Sorry guys but im starting a campain to get Asus to take notice of those owners who have had failures of thier laptops due to the defects in the Nvidia gpu's.

I know this is probably old news to some but Im feeling pretty agreived that Im expected to pay for a repair that: 1. was not my fault and 2. doesnt fix the problem anyway.

Im sure im not the only one and judging by some of the people in the Asus warranty thread and the g2s's owners lounge im not the only one whos experienced this problem.

Asus usa seems to offer replacement laptops for the cost of the repair, which I can see will be attractive to those people however as a matter of principal you shouldnt have to pay a penny for a problem that wasnt your fault.

The biggest problem seems to be with the Asus europe customer service who one refuse to aknowledge the problem dispite the problem being hevily documented on the internet and who generally just dont seem to care.

Its about time asus starts to look at its customers interests after all the other manufacturers HP, Dell, Apple and Sony have all aknowledged the problem and have extended warranties to fix it.

Im getting to the point of taking legal action against them its incredible that Asus refuses to aknowledge the problem despite the ammount of people with dead laptops.

I am having an independent inspection carried out to confirm an inherent defect with the Nvidia card. If anyone is interested I will post the results in the g2s-a1 owners lounge.

Potentially if the report finds that an inherent defect is present it will affect all g2s-a1 owners, and probably other owners with simliar graphics cards, regardless if there laptop has failed or not. IF thats the case all us g2s-a1 owners have been sold defective equipment and my hope is that all of us petition Asus to refund or replace the laptop.
As individuals complaining Asus dont seem to care but hopefully as a group of people we might have more influence.

Also to help the case against Asus would be appreciated if any of you that have black screens could email me a rough discription of:
