I'm experiencing the audio 'stuttering/crackling' problem I've seen mentioned on the forums here - the one you're supposed to be able to fix by uninstalling asus data security manager.. Problem is, I have already had this problem previously, and uninstalled ADSM. The issue reappeared when I installed new video drivers from laptopvideo2go. I had previously been using the Bioshock drivers and noticed some performance problems with other games.
I also noticed that the entire machine seems bogged down, so I am unsure if this is audio or video related.
I've tried updating the audio drivers from the asus site, I've tried changing the video drivers, I even went so far as to REinstall ADSM and then uninstall it again.
Does anyone know of a solution, driver set, whatever, that will keep my audio working and the machine running smoothly?

Defrag the whole thing?

I suggest using a restore point from before the new video driver installation, if one is available.
Otherwise, remove current video and audio drivers, use DriverCleanerPro to remove their remnants from the system, and reinstall stock drivers. With Data Security removed, see if the problem reappears. If not, then drivers were at fault.
A more radical solution is an OS recovery followed by bloatware removal (or even better, clean OS install).
