Hey all, I've got the G50vt-x5 (the "BestBuy" version) and need a few parts...

I recently purchased a 640GB HDD to throw in the 2nd slot, but it's currently being held in there with bits of packing peanuts. I noticed the Asus eStore has a mounting bracket, but I don't feel like shelling out nearly $20 for a flimsy piece of metal when I could honestly just make my own. However, I'd rather just buy a bracket somewhere else for cheaper, so does anyone know where I could find one that works well?

I also want to take advantage of the antenna on the side of the laptop. Has anyone had any luck with a specific tuner?

Lastly, I have a bad knack for losing screws. I couldn't find a spare set on the eStore but maybe someone else has had some luck?

    TIA :D

I highly doubt there are any 3rd party HDD caddy/brackets made for the G50. If money is the issue, you can also use foam to secure your second HDD - I know a few members on the forum that have use this method.

The antenna port on the G50 is a dummy port. Any mini PCI-e TV tuner would fit, but the bigger issue here is finding the actual antenna that will fit into the port. These antennas are usually bundled with external TV tuners, and finding one by itself will be a challenge.
