Is there a site that has a comparison of these 2 models? It seems they are pretty similar, but I don't think my assumption is correct :(

Or, if anyone wouldn't mind laying out the differences, that would be appreciated too.

    Thanks in advance!

g50 will still be a better buy with 640gb HDD, and 3D display.

There's no official release date for the G50. The new M50Vm will have better specs than the current A1 or B1 models.

I don't know if one can replace the other, just that they aren't the same.

Is the M50 keyboard supposed to be really good or something?

Thanks for the picture comparison. I think it has the same size just different layout.

Doc Z: Nope. Just im going to need hungarian layout keyboard for my upcoming g550 notebook. The hungarian ASUS service said they have only m50 and m51 hungarian layout right now and they dont have any g50 right now :(

By the way i like the full matte keyboard of the m50 better than the semi glossy g50 one.

Wow, I never noticed it til now, but the M50's keyboard layout looks like it'd be annoying to get used to. It's got a smaller left shift key as well as the backslash key moved to the left side.

The stock images don't give an accurate representation of the M50's keyboard. Here's a picture of the actual keyboard taken from Ken's M50Sv review thread:

I currently have both the M50 and G50 and they have the exact same layout and are identical in size. The only difference are the red color fonts on the G50. Also, like someone has mentioned previously, the material used are slightly different. Although both have matte keys, the G50 has a slight glittery texture - it's not noticeable at all unless you are trying to look for it.

G50 is pretty much glossy monitor.
