Need some help here. I'm having random problems with my laptop and I'm not sure if the culprit is hardware or software.

I installed Win7 x64 Ultimate a couple of weeks ago and had some trouble with drivers, but was able to get things working. Only the hotkeys were non functional.

I have experienced the following issues:
2dary HDD disappears and I have to restart to get it back, if it comes back.

Tonight I was using winamp and the computer just froze and wouldn't move at all, so I had to hard restart and it wouldn't boot until I took it a part and pulled both drives and the battery out and back in.

My games, like Street Fighter IV, have been choppy where they weren't before (on vista)

When I click on iTunes, sometimes it loads and sometimes it doesn't and I have to restart to get it work work on the double click

A couple of nights ago I sat the computer down and let it charge my iPhone and when I came back the mouse was moving back and forth really fast (left and right) and I had to restart, it did it again so I uninstalled the synaptics driver and reinstalled.

I don't understand exactly what the problem is so I would like some guidance as far as what others think may be the issue here and if I need to RMA because of some faulty hardware, I just don't know enough to be able to tell. Please help, thanks...

Now it won't recognize my 2dary drive at all. It does a bios restart 2x where as before it would only do one at each startup. The drive is getting power because I can plug it in and hear is start up, but the OS nor bios is recognizing it. :(

Being a best buy model, looks like you gotta go back to best buy to get work done. Ouch, I feel for you dude.

Anyways, sounds like you gotta bad motherboard, or one that will be bad shortly. Best bet is trying to reinstall windows and/or recovery to see if it resolves the issues.

to fix the bios 2x restart go into the bios, go to the far right. do user defaults, save, exit. return to the bios (before booting) again reset to user defaults, and reboot. you should no longer post twice.

Looks like it might be time to let the G50 give up the ghost and place your hands around the newly released G60VX, you won't regret it ;)!

shamwow....this fixed my 2x post and restored access to my 2nd HDD. What do you think could be the culprit? Is it a possible dying mobo or OS/BIOS issues, if so I'd like to get them fixed before my warranty expires in May. + rep again (I think you helped me on something else too)

It's actually a well known bios issue. Happens to everyone when they first install a second HDD on a G50Vt.
