Hey guys, I have a question about the Asus G50V. I believe the old G1S model had a USB port that always had power while the notebook was off, provided the notebook was plugged into AC power. Does the G50 have this feature as well? Seems handy for MP3 players etc.

    Thanks

I can't say for sure if it ever did, it was never in any reviews or from Asus themselves, however some ppl who owned a G1 said it had it, can't say for sure.

I'll try finding where I read it, but was just curious if someone who had one could confirm it or not...I could be way off base.

Allright, can't find anything pertaining to it, but there is way too much stuff for me to browse thru to try to find it...

    So let me rephrase this:

Can anyone confirm that an Asus G1/G1S/G50V etc does indeed have a USB port that has power even when the notebook is turned off, albeit when plugged in?
