My G50v-A1 is having a strange problem with the VGA output. If I go into dual screen mode and load up any 3d application (Games, 3d Studio Max, etc) the secondary monitor will have some kind of signal interference that looks kind of wavy... Almost like bad video cables. (I've tried two different cables and two different monitors and a TV so I know it's the laptop) Anyone have any ideas? Does anyone else have this problem? It's not really that big of an issue for me right now because I don't really dual screen that much, but I'm going to start sooner or later because I'll be doing a lot of 2d/3d work at home.

Its the ground loop issue. Ive seen this happen recently with more and more laptops, Its kind of annoying.

Try running your laptop on battery and see if it keeps happening, if not then its got something to do with your house grounding (im not quite the expert on the subject). What I did to fix this was to use a 3 to 2 prong adapter on either the monitor or the laptop.

QFT. More and more? Isn't it "all" laptops? :)

However, the OP says he sees this only in 3D? This should be apparent in 2D or actually for anything that is displayed on the secondary screen. If it's not, I don't think it's a ground loop.
