I have the newegg version of the G50V-X1 (higher screen resolution than bestbuy). Anywho using the guide here I put on XP and its worked FANTASTIC for months... until this morning.

I find I cannot turn on the wireless "radio tower" icon nor the blue tooth. Pressing FN-F2 does nothing, I cant get the icons to cycle though the various options. This is odd as I've never had a problem with this laptop until now. In the tray, it shows the blue wireless radio tower with a red X over it. If I double click that icon I get the menu showing the 4 setting icons for a couple seconds before it goes away, all are greyed out except for the final icon showing bluetooth and wireless being off.

Anyone have any ideas off hand to re-enable wireless? I really dont care about the blue tooth. The battery seemed to be dead when I went to power up, but its on AC now... could that affect anything?
