hi, i´m from Austria and can´t really find any store/shop who is selling the G50V with the 9800gs + T9400 or the 9700 + T9400 to austria/europe. I found some on the US but they dont offer service for europe -.-

Anyone knows where i could get it ? Wouldn´t care if it is from japan/us aslong as the keyboard is fine for me :D .. or if someone knows where to get a europe keyboard it would be fine too :)

    thx

It's available in the Netherlands for instance, http://www.kieskeurig.nl/zoeken/index.html?q=asus+g50vt

But it is true it has a T8xx series CPU. But why is that so important to you? That CPU will do fine for most tasks, including most games.

In the Netherlands, keyboard will be US, but that's fine with me :D

    European keyboards, maybe on www.asusparts.eu

ah nice.. asked some dutch friend already to check for me but he didn´t found smth :(

    Somehow i can´t fien out if it has 2 hdd´s (what i prefer) or only 1 :(

And ye the cpu isn´t that important.. still it would be better ;)
I also wonder how much better the 9800gs is..

Too bad it costs 200€ more than in the usa :(

@edit: whats the differnce between wxga and wxga+?

WXGA is 1280x800, WXGA+ is (I think) 1440x900. However I believe these versions have a 16:9 screen where the WXGA is actually 1366x768.

I think this NL model has 2 HDDs (they list 640GB = 320x2).

In Europe electronics always cost more than in the US.

thats why i hoped to find some US shop where i could buy it and ship it.. and propably just replace the keyboard or live with the US one (if there aren´t any keys missing and i could just siwtch @windows to europe keyboard-settings it wouldn´t be a problem for me)

Be aware there is a good chance you would be paying customs on a laptop imported from the US into our country. Which may well take you to the price at which you could buy the laptop locally...

hmm need to find that out :)

About the display: So the models & people in movies/games would look "fat" ?

Btw does anyone know how big the difference between the 9700M and the 9800 is? If the difference isn´t that big , i would take the one fom austria for 1100€ which is much cheaper.. 1400€ might be already too much for me :(

    thx

In italy there is what you want.

But I'm quite sure you won't be able to have an international shipping.

    Here the specs of g50vt-ep014c
    T9400/4Gb RAM/2X320Gb HD/GF9800 GS/WXGA 1366*768.

Price is a whooping 1850 euro.
