Basically, when I uplug the AC adapter for my G50V-A2, the computers performance drops to an almost unusable state. If I run videos on fullscreen, the videos audio and video will go badly out of sync, and even the most un-demanding games will lag badly.

I haven't messed with the power settings at all.

    Any help? =]

Drivers... recent drivers from the last few generations cause heavy downclocking on graphics cards. Powermizer causes part of the down clock so attempt to disable that first in the nvidia control panel

Normal video shouldn't suffer that badly though. Maybe HD video. And games, surely -- you're not really supposed to play games on battery.

You can disable PowerMizer but be aware that you'll be paying a cost in battery life, and also in heat. Even when the notebook is plugged in PowerMizer helps with heat savings by clocking the card according to the load. So you would notice an increase in idle temps.
