I have just ordered a G50V-A2 and I was wondering if it supports (officially or not officially) the quad cores. Has anyone tested it?

ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
The notebook quad core chips haven't even really hit the market, as they've only recently just been announced, and the G50 is only a couple of weeks old. I doubt it.

But in theory the motherboard should support it?

I was wondering as I read here
http://www.asus.com/news_show.aspx?id=12427
that the G71V supports the quad core. The chipset and the motherboard are the same so maybe the only problem could be overheating... ? -
Severe overheating...
But from what has been making rounds in this forum, the G50V's cooling system is very very good so you might be able to manage it.
