Hello, I noticed when moving some files over to my second hard drive last night it was going kinda slow IMO. It was an average of 20MB/S, which doesn't seem right. So I just tried this program called, 'DiskBench' and took a large, (~1gb) video file for the test file. The result is: 21.135 MB/s, does this seem right? This is between two 7200RPM 200gb hard drives. From C:\ to D:\. Then on a second test, with a smaller file, ~700mb, from 1 folder to another on C:\ it was 31.1MB/s. This is on the same hard drive. My power settings and everything are set to the highest. I also have about 35 or so GB free on the HDDs, or more.

on a side note, when playing TF2, every 1 - 2 minutes I have this like 1 second hitch in the game. I've tried the 177.79 drivers, the ones everyone say work great. And now I'm using the newest ones, 177.92. It's like a very small lag, that does get annoying especially if I'm sniping or something that requires full attention.

So I hard they left the jumpers on the HDD and this slows it down? Do you think this is the case? Any input is good input, thanks for reading.

I suggest removing the jumpers to see if it clears up the 'hitching'. Certainly did for me in WoW.

Mario, since you've already done this, and I'm an inexperienced notebook user, is there anything special I should take into consideration when doing this? I assume it's very straight forward from what I've seen in ViciousUSMC's pictures he posted in his G50V Exposed thread. Just unscrew the bottom, pull off the cover, find the HDD, pull them out, remove the jumper, and do the opposite processes after that, right?

Do not forget to switch off your computer and to be just save take out battery.
Removing this jumper will not hurt I think
