Hey guys, lol, here's another thread by me with yet another issue with the G50V...I recently formatted my G50V-A2 and reinstalled Vista with all the discs, and reinstalled the drivers. And yet, Expressgate will not work. I try to boot expressgate, and it says it doesn't exist or the installation was incomplete.

Nothing will work! Not even uninstalling it and reinstalling it from the CD.

Do you have your hdd's set up in raid? If so, then expressgate won't work.

Oh jeez, are you serious? Ahh...yes, I do have RAID0 set up. Oh well.

Is RAID0 responsible for the 10-20% constant CPU usage that is happening when the system is idle too?

No, that's likely Vista indexing your drives in the background.

He's right, when I turned off indexing my 5% or so went down to 0% in idle.

Yea, it's the RAID0 configuration. The G50V manual actually says that ExpressGate won't work with RAID0.
