This is a problem which myself and my friend with the M50 have...when we plug a device into one of our usb ports...and also have a pair of headphones in the headphones jack..a strange sound is emitted..sounding like it is on some sort of frequency interference with either device. On my laptop it only happens when i use the 2 USB ports closest to the headphone jack itself..the right hand ones..on my friends this occurs on all of his ports..if anyone knows any known issues itd be great..we cannot contact customer service because we are currently on a tour in afghanistan..thanks much

i read some where on here that ASUS is aware of this problem. i think every G50v has this problem. but the 207 bios did reduce it enough for me that unless theres no sound playing i dont notice it on my headphones. so try the 207 bios, btw i've had no conflicts with the 207

Well known issue... nothing to do about it I'm afraid, since it's in the electrical properties of the notebook's physical components.

Use another USB port for the offending devices (hopefully not all USB devices cause the problem, in which case some would be usable in those two ports).
