    Hi,
I'm new around here, my laptop just have one year and suddenly yesterday it didn’t start-up anymore. After I press the power or the expressgate button I get one of this three behaviors:
1 Nothings happens, no power up, nothing.
2 Lights come up, CD seems to check, CPU fan starts, caps and num lock lights turned off and nothing else, no BIOS, no video nothing, it can be at that status until the battery finish.
3 Same as before but Num and Caps lock ON and after 1 minute a very low beep and the laptop turn off.

Sorry if this has been posted before, but all the searches I did came as wrong search, English is not my first language sorry for the bad spelling.

    Best Regards
    Armando

Check to make sure the battery and AC Adapter are securely in place. Try removing the battery and putting it back in very tightly. Also, try it with just the AC Adapter and no battery. It could be a number of things, but lets start with the basics.

Try taking your RAM out and putting it back in. Also try resetting the BIOS settings by pushing a paperclip into the reset hole on the bottom of the G50 for 10+ seconds.

Take out all the parts you can and try to boot. Take out RAM, Harddrive, wireless card, bluetooth if applicable) and try to boot on only AC. If it posts start adding in things one at a time until it stops working.

Did you try resetting the BIOS? The hole is right under the lamp warning label: [IMG]

Thank you I tried everything, no results, I will call ASUS support and send it back for repair... I think there is a major problem with the MOBO or the internal power supply, tomorrow i will go to a frind that have one and try to use his battery and power box....
    Thanks all for your support

    Regards

The BIOS reset hole doesn't always do the trick for the BIOS. If you want to be sure you've cleared the BIOS you can rip the battery out for 10+ seconds. It requires a bit of disassembly, see this thread.

There's no guarantee that this will fix your problem, but it may be worth a shot since sending it back to ASUS may take a while.
