    G50VT Raid 0 performace boost?

    Hi All,

    I have a G50VT-X5 and was wondering what type of performance improvements I might notice while gaming or regular video streaming/surfing if I grab 2 of these

    WD scorpio black....


    it is a tossup on grabing 2 of these for raid or grabbing one 500G just for extra storage.. the second option is $100 less and ends up being more storage..

    I have never had any raid set-up so is it worth it? thougths ?

    thx in advance.. Windows 7 if that matters..

    Little to none; RAID0 increases disk sensitive activities, which means for games, you should notice a decrease in load times, but streaming and surfing will get you nothing as that is dependent on your internet connection.

    Load times huh... good to know. it is basically a gaming only machine.
    No real hard drive intense stuff....
