I recently purchased a G50VT-X6. The computer runs pretty well for the most part. I have yet to run many tests on it. It was loaded with ALOT of bloatware. While I have yet to do a clean install because I only have a copy of recovery disc. Anyways, when I installed a game to try to run.. I noticed that I had a lot of issues. The system requirements are LOW to be seen as follows.

    Priston Tale :(Recommended system requirements)
    OS: Windows 98 / Me / 2000 / XP / Vista
    CPU: Pentium III 450
    RAM: 256 MB VGA : 3D Acceleration Video Card /w 16MB RAM
ETC: DirectX 7.0 or above, ISDN/ADSL/Cable

Yet my g50vt-x6 has problems when there is a lot going on in the screen and the fps probably goes to about 5-10. The systems has the basic stuff installed and nothing else. When powered on it has about 76 processes running. While that is a lot, its hard to believe that a game with such low requirements could run so poorly on this machine. If anyone has any ideas as to what could be the issue it would be greatly appreciated.

A few quick things to try:
    1. Make sure you are plugged in. Running on battery probably activates Powermizer.
    2. Check your power setting and make sure it is on high performance. You can change the settings using Fn+space or the running man touch button.

I have seen this problem before and I believe it that the newer drivers that are standard today are not optimised to run old games so efficiently anymore. That could be the problem, I suggest downloading some old drivers.
    check laptopvideo2go.com
try it and keep us informed.
your computer should be able to handle it really well...

Right-click on the game's executable file, select Properties/Compatibility run in Windows 98/ME or XP mode. Hope that helps.
