I see the antenna on the side of the G50, but I do not see anything that says I have a tuner card installed. Anybody know how t check and if I do not have it, how do I get it?

If it is not listed under device manager, then you haven't one.
You could find the TV module on asusparts (I don't have a direct link, sorry)

Is there a part number I need to buy? Also what is the antenna I need to purchase?

I've looked under the ASUS estore for G50 Parts and you pretty much wont find much and most of its not in stock. If you do manage to find one its most likley like the bluetooth module which is in a part of the laptop that has to be dissasembled to get to.

I also really dont remember seeing it in the dissasembly guide but it might have been there or the guide was published before tv tuners were part of it. I think all of the models have the port because it was cheaper to have one block instead of blanking each thing not used in a model.

HP i know does not sell the tuner's and parts after the fact, they instead offer up a usb tuner. Not sure if ASUS is like this but i heard alienware sells theirs separately.

The G50 series sold in North America has a TV tuner port, but it's lacking the TV tuner card itself.

Finding the correct internal TV tuner will be very difficult, and installing it would be even more stressful since the compartment isn't easily accessible.

If you want a TV tuner, your best bet is to purchase an external USB/Expresscard tuner.
