    Hi all,

Just recieved my 50VT-A2 today and I'm vey happy.

Just a quick question, the laptop comes with 2x 320Gb HDD. Have ran the initial start up and win/asus software install. When I open internet explorer it says that there are 4 hard disk drives - C 149gb, D 138, E 149, F 149.

Does anyone know how to change the partitions to just HDD c: and HDD d:? Do I have to scrub an reinstall everything?

    Thanks

When i recieved my A1, I just formatted everything

It was the best way to get rid of all the bloatware

If you like you can use the vista partition manager (right click my computer > manage > disk management

so, if I re-format everything, it will reset it to c:320gb, d:320gb and still preserve the HDD recovery partition?

then it will reinstal windows and the asus software too?

Formatting doesn't do anything. You need to repartition the drives. Afaik you can just combine partitions on the same physical disk without having to reformat anything.
