    G50VT-X1 -- Anyone successfullly added a second HDD?

    That is, assuming anyone got a second HDD bracket to begin with.

    Anyone tried adding a second HDD? Did the BIOS recognize it just fine?

    You have an A1, how are you so sure?

    X1 doesn't even have the second HDD bracket, so I don't know if the BIOS is compatible with it.

    Yes, the bios will recognize it. The problem is that the HDD brackets are out of stock from the Asus estore - has been for quite a while now :eek:

    All G50 models share the same chassis and BIOS. There is absolutely NO problem adding a second hard disk with an additional bracket for the unused bay.

    Edit: errrrr ok it's out of stock now but there is no technical reason that it will not work
