Hey guys, I need some help.

I've had my g50 for a few months and the wireless internet has worked fine that whole time. It was even working fine most of this morning...later this evening I turn on my comp and suddenly my laptop can't detect ANY of the networks around me. They don't even show up. I know my modem/router is working because my other computer still connects the internet just fine.

When I try connecting it's like my computer doesn't even realize it has wireless capabilities. I can't set up any sort of wireless connections (just keeps saying that I don't have a network adapter installed). When I go into the Device Manager my wireless adapter doesn't even show up anymore!

I've tried several things already. Restarting/system restore. Making absolutely sure that the wireless on/off switch on the front of my computer is set to "on". Pressing FN + F2 (although nothing shows up when I do that now...guess it doesn't care if it doesn't think you have wifi abilities). I went to the Intel site and downloaded the latest wireless driver onto my other comp and transferred it to my Asus. Installing it made no difference...still no wireless network adapter showing up.

    Any ideas?

It's possible that the wireless adapter has died. You should consider sending for repair, unless you're out of warranty. Then you should just consider buying 5100 Intel wireless adapter, if any available for sale.

Considering I've only had this comp (which I bought new) for a few months, it would be pretty sad if the adapter has already died. Luckily I'm still under warranty. Thanks for the help.
