    Hi guys,

I have some questions with my G50.

    1. I have read some reviews on the internet about the G50's 9800GS GPU such at notebookcheck.com. Its mobile graphics card benchmark list page ( LINK HERE) says that the 9800GS only scores 84XX points on 3dmark06. My G50 scores about 8700 points on Vista Home Pre 64, and about 9521 points on XP32 Pro SP3 (all settings are default). I wonder what made diferrence. So, tell me why, please!

    Here the pic:

    2. I would like to buy a second HDD for my G50. Who can know the capacity limit? I want to buy 1TB 7200 rpm one for my HD movies storage.

    Thanks much!

p/s: I'm so sorry for my bad Eng skill.

Don't take what you read at notebookcheck.com as the final word, yes they do help a bit to see where GPU's lie in the pecking order, but every one gets different 3DMARK 06 scores, could be a bunch of reasons they got a slightly lower score
1.Maybe they had a different CPU
2.Maybe the ran the benchmark without OCing the CPU.
    Did you?
3.They could have run the benchmark at a different resolution.
    Yours is run at 1024x768
And yes you get better numbers in XP than in VISTA
So it could be a bunch of reasons
Also if you look closely they reviewed the 9800M GS in a MSI GT627, it has 1680X1050 screen resolution and the factory default for running 3DMARK06 is at 1280x1024(which I think most of there testing is done) so that might also explain the slightly different score.
All in all I would not worry to much about it because 3DMARK 06 says nothing about how a laptop actually can handle games, just gives a base score of what your laptop is capable of, and it looks like you have a great system.
If you can play the games you want, that's all that truly matters, I would not put to much stock in synthetic benchmarks, just relax and enjoy. :D
Not sure about the HDD's since I don't have that system.

    1. 3DMark06 scores higher on XP than on Vista. Also, notebookcheck is probably running on a different resolution. Lastly, different drivers can achieve different scores.

    2. The largest/fastest notebook HDDs are 500GB 7200RPM, so you can simply buy 2 of those and have a total of 1TB of capacity.
