Just wondering if I should get a cooler for it. This is mainly directed towards other G50VT-X5 users and/or tech savvy guys.

I don't find it super hot but I just want to be safe. I will also be playing mass effect 2 and that game will have me using the turbo extreme option which will OC the CPU from 2.13 GHZ to 2.3Ghz coupled with an 9800M GS.

If I did get a cooler it would be the zalman NC-2000. I've also read that the cooling part doesn't align with the big vent hole on the bottom and just wanted G50VT users to confirm this.

    Thanks for the help.

Its a good investment to get a cooler if your going to be playing games. Less stress on the system to cool your notebook if you play demanding games or for extended periods of time. I know my g51vx runs hot and would not game without a cooler.

The NC-2000 fits perfectly and pushes cool air right to the vents. Not sure what you've read but I believe the g50vt vents are the same so I think the NC-2000 is a perfect fit.

well the thing is my laptop is probably cooler than yours so I'm not sure if I need one. I mean the zalman one isn't cheap. I have temps of about 85ish for my GPU during gaming so do you guys think I should get a cooler or is that temperature within the normal range.
