    G50VT-X5 or G60VX?

    Which one should I get? I would like to know which one runs cooler, which one has less problems, etc. I will be using it mostly for games and watching movies and burning dvds etc.

    The g60 is just like a g51vx. It is the upgraded version of the g50. The g60 has the 260m which is a much better video card but it will run a little bit hotter than the 9800m in the g50. The use basically the same external parts the only difference is the g50 has the led panel, lcd screen and the g60 has the backlit keyboard and led screen. The g60vx and the g51vx share the same motherboard by the way.

    I would recommend the g60vx or g51vx over the g50v because it has the better video card, but it all comes down to what little things you want it to have. The g50 has turbo extreme which overclocks the cpu at the press of button while the g60/g51 doesn't, but the g51/g60 has the backlit keyboard.

    So like I said before they are both very nice laptops but the g51/g60 is newer and has a better video card but lacks a few things the g50 has. So I would decide which extra's you would prefer and go with that.
