Info before i get into it.
My computer: G50vt-X5 from best buy. i have windows 7 home 64 bit installed.

I just updated the SATA driver w/ the driver from the asus website, I rebooted and now it won't boot up. i can't even get into the bios screen to see if i can use the windows disc to reinstall. I used the g50vt win7 driver and when i rebooted it just did it. i can use the splashtop but that is it.. what can i do? is there a way to uninstall the driver or delete it from here? or am i going to the computer shop tomorrow?

Keep pressing F2 when you start your computer to go to bios. If you can get to splashtop, you can get into the BIOS. Then boot from the win7 disc and format your HDD.

The SATA driver should not affect your ability to get into the BIOS... Do you have an update for us?

Take the battery out and unplug it for a few seconds, and then replace both power sources and try turning it on again. Or press the reset button.

Do you recall if you installed your Operating system under Enhance or Compatible mode? This may have a direct relation to your ability to boot into your Windows.

If you are unable to boot into BIOS, even after clearing the CMOS, please consider re-seating your RAM and HDD. Finally if those suggestions do not help, please contact our technical support line.
